‘The Bachelorette’ Reunion: Meredith Phillips Says She Was Never Asked to Come

The Bachelorette Chris Harrison Interview Youtube

The Bachelorette reunion that aired tonight was missing two of the girls from the show. Meredith Phillips and Jen Schefft Waterman were not there. Chris Harrison made it sound like she couldn’t be there, but Meredith tells another story.

Chris Harrison’s version

Harrison shared that Jen and Meredith just couldn’t be there. The thing is there is a bit more to the story it sounds like. Chris said, “Unfortunately Jen and Meredith couldn’t be there because we had to settle on a date. At the end of the day, we had to shoot this thing. So, we just picked a day where we could get as many as we possibly could, but unfortunately schedules, vacations, was one of them, just couldn’t be changed. And we just had to pull the trigger and do this thing.”

It sounds like ABC did ask these girls to join the show, but they just couldn’t make it. Now, Meredith Phillips tells another story. Because of her story, the truth is a bit fuzzy.

Meredith Phillips’ version of The Bachelorette reunion story

Meredith Phillips is telling her side about what happened. Reality Steve was able to talk to her and he shared details on Twitter. Here is what he had to say about it.

Nothing is being said about why she wasn’t asked. One year ago, ET shared that Meredith Phillips said that she was allegedly sexually assaulted while filming The Bachelorette. You have to wonder if this has something to do with her not being asked back if that is what went down. Meredith said that she was roofied by a masseuse that was hired by a producer. They came into her bedroom to give her a massage. Below is part of what she had to say about it.

“Well, besides being always really tired and some of the producers were, how do I say this, helpful but not helpful. In terms of trying to make me relax. Normally, I wouldn’t really talk about this, but I’m going to tell you because it’s bothered me for years.”

For now, fans are going to have to wonder if this is part of the reason that she wasn’t asked. It was a female that allegedly assaulted her after giving her a pill that she just simply assumed was aspirin. Because she trusted someone production sent in, she took that pill.

  1. This definitely has a feeling of truth to it. Why bring back someone who made such a serious accusation? I feel very sorry for Meredith, but understand the show’s reticence. A lie by the show I s much easier swallowed than such an ugly truth.
