Back in August 2018, Derick Dillard decided to head to college. He’s currently attending The University of Arkansas School of Law, which is located in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Derick Dillard has been documenting his college experience so far. He regularly shares updates on social media to let fans know what’s going on. In September of 2018, he shared a picture of his family joining him for dinner during a study session.

In one photo that Derick Dillard shared, his caption said, “Sam helping me study some contracts”. It seems like the whole Dillard family is involved in his education!

What is Jill Duggar Dillard saying about Derick Dillard in law school?
Jill Duggar Dillard hasn’t said much about her husband being in school. She does seem to be supportive and helps him out when she can.

On the Dillard family blog, she shared a muffin recipe. In the comments, a fan asked Jill Duggar Dillard about Derick Dillard’s law school experience. The fan said,
“Jill, how is Derick enjoying law school? Does he know what branch of law he wants to pursue? I have faith that he will do well in whatever field he chooses! He’s a diligent, hard working, and dedicated young man! You’re a lucky girl and the boys are lucky to have him as their Daddy!”
Shortly after, Jill Dillard answered the fan and said,
“Thanks. It’s going well! He’s in full swing with exams, briefs, oral arguments and summer job applications!
He’s hoping to practice some kind of public interest law (voice for the voiceless).

He’s hoping to practice some kind of public interest law (voice for the voiceless). When she refers to “voice for the voiceless”, she is likely referring to the pro-life movement. This aligns with the Duggar family’s views so it would make sense for him to study that area of law.
Jill Duggar Dillard herself was homeschooled and didn’t attend college. She is currently homeschooling her sons and plans to keep doing so until they go to college. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar never attended college and neither have any of their 19 children.
It is somewhat shocking that Derick Dillard is in college, but he had to do something since he was booted off of Counting On. His long list of hate comments was not received well by TLC.
